📚 5G Service-Based Architecture Guide

  1. Open the SBA Dashboard and verify all panels are loaded properly.
  2. Open the Terminal from the toolbar.
  3. Run docker compose -f docker-compose.yml up -d to start all Network Functions at once.
  4. Or run docker compose -f docker-compose.yml up -d <service-name> to start a specific NF (e.g., oai-nrf).
  5. Alternatively, select an NF from the left palette to configure and start it manually.
  6. Enter a valid IP address, port number, and HTTP protocol, then click Start NF.
  7. Wait 4–5 seconds for the NF to stabilize and register with the NRF.
  8. Check the Logs Section for "NF started successfully" and "Service registration complete".
  9. Repeat steps 5–8 for all remaining NFs (AMF, SMF, UPF, UDM, AUSF, PCF, etc.).
  10. Check running networks using docker network ls.
  11. Verify NF IPs using docker network inspect oaiworkshop.
  12. Click an NF, open its Command Prompt, and run ping <target_IP> to validate NF-to-NF connectivity.
  13. Check ping output — zero packet loss confirms the components can reach each other.
  14. Stop all services using docker compose -f docker-compose.yml down.
